Biography

Dr. Wisit Tangkeangsirisin is a highly accomplished pharmaceutical scientist with a distinguished career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as the Deputy Director at the National Vaccine Institute, Thailand, he has made significant contributions to the field of vaccinology, focusing on research and development, human capacity development, and regulatory science.

Dr. Tangkeangsirisin's academic background is marked by excellence. He earned his Bachelor of Pharmacy from Silpakorn University in Thailand and pursued a Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. His thirst for knowledge and passion for research led him to the National Cancer Institute at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), where he completed postdoctoral training in antibody phase display technology.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Tangkeangsirisin played a pivotal role in Thailand's national COVID-19 vaccine research and development efforts.
