Responsibilities

Supporting WHO’s various work on long-term care, including stakeholder engagement, communications, and strategy-building.

YeJin Lee is a technical officer responsible for long-term care at the Ageing and Health Unit, within the Department of Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health and Ageing, WHO Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.

YeJin received her bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) and Social Welfare (BSW) from Seoul National University (Seoul, Republic of Korea) and master’s degree in public health (MPH) from Yonsei University (Seoul, Republic of Korea). She is a Registered Nurse certified by the Ministry of Health and Welfare of Republic of Korea and worked as a pediatric ward nurse previous to starting her work in global health.

Prior to working at WHO, YeJin was a project coordinator at Save the Children Korea in the Health & Nutrition Team in the International Program department, focusing on health projects in Uganda, Nepal, and Vietnam. She also was deployed as a UN volunteer at UNICEF Pacific located in Suva, Fiji during her master studies in public health.
