A 5-day flagship course on health systems strengthening and universal health coverage begins in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh, today. The course has been organised by the Health Economics Unit of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, with support from WHO, the World Bank and the Health Finance and Governance project of USAID. It is specifically tailored to Bangladesh and aims to provide participants who are involved in national health system reform, with the tools they will need to develop effective solutions to the problems that Bangladesh faces as it moves towards the goal of universal health coverage.
