Rationale:
The WHA71.8 Resolution on improving access to assistive technology urges all Member States to take actions to improve access to assistive technology, and requests WHO to develop progress reports to monitor the status of assistive technology access and communicate the progress made by Member States in implementing the resolution.
Definition:
Existence of funding allocated to the provision of assistive products in the latest public budget. It can be a stand-alone budget specific to assistive technology, or represent a budget line in public budgets on other topics (for example in the health budget, education budget, social care budget, or other budgets).

Countries answered yes/no/information not available to the following questions: "Were finances in the latest public budgets allocated for the provision of assistive technology? In a separate budget for assistive technology In the budget for health services (or similar); In the budget for social services (or similar); In the budget for education (or similar); In the budget for labour (or similar); In the budget for defense (or similar); In other budgets” Countries who have a yes for this indicator answered at least one yes to the question above. Federal states provided responses to this indicator at both national and federal/regional levels.
