The WHA71.8 Resolution on improving access to assistive technology urges all Member States to take actions to improve access to assistive technology, and requests WHO to develop progress reports to monitor the status of assistive technology access and communicate the progress made by Member States in implementing the resolution.

For the purpose of this survey, six population groups are identified: people with difficulties in cognition, people with difficulties in communication, people with difficulties in mobility, people with difficulties in vision, people with difficulties in hearing, people with difficulties in self care.
