Definition:
The existence of a national system of data collection based on health service delivery that collects data on the number of people with substance use disorders. In this context, a system of data collection based on health service delivery refers to an organized system of collecting data based on health service delivery, which usually incorporates admission and discharge data, number of outpatients contacts and similar. If existent, this could be for alcohol use disorders only, for drug use disorders only, two separate data collection systems for health services delivery for alcohol and drug use disorders or one data collection system for health services delivery which collects data relating alcohol and drug use disorders together.
