Rationale:
To assess the prevalence of HIV among TB patients. Measuring the proportion of HIV-positive TB patients gives important information for targeting of resources, strategic planning of activities, and monitoring  the effectiveness of HIV prevention interventions over time.
Definition:
Number of registered TB patients with documented HIV status on TB register who are HIV-positive, expressed as a proportion of the total number of all registered TB patients with documented HIV status over the reporting period. Method of estimation:
Facility TB registers and quarterly case-finding reports.
