Rationale:
The existence of regulations provides useful information of the radiation protection system at country level.
Definition:
The starting year of implementation of national regulations for limiting public exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation from sunbeds.   "Regulation" refers to any form of legal instrument which may be used to control sunbeds, e.g. laws, regulations, bylaws, decrees, ordinances.
Method of estimation:
Data are drawn from a WHO survey of national authorities (governments, health protection agencies, regulatory authorities). Data are as reported, no estimation is required.
