Mr David Allen has a background in international affairs and international economic policy. He brings over 30 years of experience working in 5 United Nations agencies at the country, regional and headquarter levels in a variety of managerial roles focusing on business operations.

A passionate advocate for humanitarian and relief efforts, Mr Allen supported operations for the World Food Programme (WFP) in Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (then Zaire) between 1995 and 1997, for Afghanistan in 2001-2002, and for the UN Secretariat’s humanitarian office in Baghdad, Iraq, from 1997 to 1999.
