3 February 2022
3 February 2022 (virtual)

WHO/Europe will hold a consultation with Members States, civil society and other partners in the Region to generate input for the development of the 2022–2030 regional action plans for the elimination of HIV, viral hepatitis and sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

This consultation will build on feedback already secured through discussions at a Member State consultation in June 2021, and a technical expert committee meeting in November 2021.

The objectives of the regional consultation are to:
  • ensure broad participation in and ownership of the action plans;
  • solicit input to the draft action plans from Member States, civil society and partners; and
  • review and establish a consensus on the targets and actions proposed in the draft action plans.

The consultation will be held virtually. The working languages will be English and Russian, with simultaneous interpretation. The event will be attended by:
  • representatives of authorities responsible for overseeing health services or national programmes;
  • HIV programme managers;
  • viral hepatitis programme managers;
  • STI programme managers; and
  • representatives from relevant health authorities responsible for national HIV, viral hepatitis and STI responses.

Members of the public and other organizations with an interest in HIV, viral hepatitis and STIs are also invited to provide feedback through the public consultation process. For more information, please refer to the link below.
