The WHO European Centre for Environment and Health, under the auspices of the Environment and Health Process, is holding the fourth high-level Bonn Dialogue on Environment and Health. This event will focus on effective risk communication for environment and health, and will describe the latest trends, theories and concepts for efficient communication between scientists, policy-makers and other stakeholders.
The main objectives of the Dialogue are to:
- take stock of the latest evidence from risk communication for environment and health practices; and
- exchange views on policy opportunities and emerging approaches to the design and implementation of policies and measures that promote efficient risk communication.
Discussions will take advantage of the 2021 WHO report “Effective risk communication for environment and health”, realized within the framework of the European Union’s Health Environment Research Agenda for Europe (HERA) project.
This event is open to members of the Environment and Health Task Force, HERA project participants, anyone working on risk communication for environment and health issues in national, regional and local governments – including researchers, communication experts, educators, students, policy advocates, managers and civil society representatives – and to the general public.
The Dialogue will be held in English with simultaneous translation into Russian.
