Event highlights
16 February 2024
The LEARN BCI [Behavioural and Cultural Insights] online training course, held from 22–25 January 2024, was joined by 18 participants from 9 Member States across the WHO European Region.
The training offered participants the opportunity to apply the BCI approach in practice and foster their understanding about BCI-related concepts, theories and methods.
Working in 2 teams guided by experts from the BCI Unit of WHO/Europe, participants applied the tools and approaches learned in the online modules to a case study designed for the purpose of the training. The case tackled low cervical cancer screening uptake in a fictional country called Screenland.
Feedback was positive with all respondents stating they are very likely to use BCI tools and approaches in their work in the future.
Additional LEARN BCI sessions in both English and Russian will be held later in 2024. Registration for upcoming sessions is now open at: https://forms.office.com/e/SAmaknExY2.
The online modules are free to access and relevant for all professionals working with public health policy, service and communication processes. They can be accessed here in English or Russian: https://lms.bci-hub.org/.
