WHO publications launch event: what is the evidence on population-level screening for cardiovascular disease and diabetes?

18 November 2024
14:00-15:00 CET, Online webinar via zoom

Join us for a webinar held by WHO/Europe to launch the publication of 3 evidence synthesis reports examining the effects of screening the population for cardiovascular disease (CVD) and diabetes.

Population-level screening involves systematically identifying and managing diseases, preclinical conditions or risk factors in asymptomatic individuals. This process includes inviting a predefined eligible population to participate in a quality-assured pathway encompassing diagnosis and treatment.

In this webinar, stakeholders from WHO and the report authors will discuss the evidence surrounding the effects of population-level screening for CVD and diabetes in the context of global targets relating to noncommunicable diseases, country practices across the WHO European Region, and the key question, how can countries enhance detection of these diseases and simultaneously improve health outcomes?

The webinar will be hosted in English, with Russian interpretation.
