WHO/Europe is hosting a training on the International Classification of Diseases 11th Revision (ICD-11) implementation for mortality and morbidity data improvement.
This training will bring together health data professionals, statisticians, epidemiologists, and health-care administrators involved in collecting and analysing mortality and morbidity data from 5 central Asian countries (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan). The 5-day programme includes interactive sessions, practical exercises, and opportunities for participants to exchange best practices and experiences.
The event is aligned with the Regional digital health action plan for the WHO European Region 2023–2030, which aims to strengthen countries’ capacities to streamline the transition from ICD-10 to ICD-11 and improve the quality and accuracy of health data.
The event is implemented with funding support from the European Union under the “Central Asia COVID-19 Crisis Response (CACCR) - PHASE 2” project.
