A 1-day simulation exercise on hospital preparedness for mass casualty incidents will be held to strengthen the capacity of University Emergency Hospital, the most complex emergency hospital in south-east Romania, to respond effectively to emergencies such as radio-nuclear disasters, natural disasters and industrial accidents.
This hybrid exercise, combining a tabletop discussion and an operational simulation, will provide hospital staff and management with practical experience in managing mass casualty events. Participants will engage in scenario-based activities to test emergency response plans, triage protocols, communication strategies and surge capacity.
The event will bring together representatives from hospitals, emergency medical services, civil protection agencies and other key actors in the health emergency response system.
This simulation marks an important step in building a resilient health system capable of delivering timely and coordinated care during mass casualty incidents.
