Third meeting of the Regional Collaborating Committee on Accelerated Response to Tuberculosis, HIV and viral Hepatitis (‎RCC-THV)‎

Overview

The third annual meeting of the Regional Collaborating Committee on Accelerated Response to Tuberculosis, HIV and viral Hepatitis (‎RCC-THV)‎, organized by the WHO Regional Office for Europe, took place online on 15 February 2022. The RCC-THV serves as a regional platform for the 53 Member States in the WHO European Region to scale-up the response to all three epidemics in accordance with Sustainable Development Goal 3, on health and well-being. The WHO Regional Office for Europe has been developing the new tuberculosis (‎TB)‎ action plan for the WHO European Region 2023–2030 and action plans for ending the HIV, viral hepatitis and sexually transmitted infection epidemics in the Region for 2022–2030. The RCC-THV annual virtual meeting presented a major opportunity for civil society and affected communities to participate in the development of the new action plans. This report outlines the content of the meeting and summarizes key outcomes and the way forward in the response to the three epidemics through development and implementation of the new regional action plans.
