Annual progress report 2023–2024: WHO European Centre for Preparedness for Humanitarian and Health Emergencies

Overview

This report provides a summary of the main activities carried out by the WHO European Centre for Preparedness for Humanitarian and Health Emergencies in Istanbul, Türkiye, between 1 October 2023 and 30 September 2024. The Centre, established in September 2020, is aimed at assisting Member States to improve their emergency preparedness through the acceleration of implementation of the International Health Regulations (‎2005)‎ core capacities. By building capacity and facilitating intergovernmental partnerships, the Centre strengthens operational capabilities and readiness for responding to health emergencies and disasters in the WHO European Region and beyond.
