FEEDcities project: the food environment in cities in eastern Europe and central Asia – Ukraine

Overview

This technical report presents results from a cross–sectional study conducted in Lviv, Ukraine, between October and November 2023, as part of the FEEDcities project – Food environment description in cities in eastern Europe and central Asia. It aimed to assess the content of trans–fatty acids, sodium and potassium in a selection of foods commonly available for sale in this setting. The nutritional composition of selected industrial and homemade foods available in kiosks, fast–food outlets and supermarkets is presented, and the policy implications of the results are discussed.
