Access to TB medicines in Europe – from political will to action: outcome document, 20 November 2025, Copenhagen

Overview

On 18–22 November 2025, Denmark hosted the annual Union World Conference on Lung Health in Copenhagen. This historic conference is the world’s largest forum on lung health, and gathered representatives from Member States across the globe, civil society, clinicians and international experts, including those working on tuberculosis (TB). Taking place during the Danish EU Presidency, the conference provided a timely opportunity to bring stakeholders from the Region together and renew political focus on TB in Denmark and across the EU/ European Economic Area (EEA). In the context of the Conference, a joint side event was convened on 20 November to facilitate structured dialogue on TB/HIV at national and EU levels. The event brought together prominent speakers and key partners to examine priority implementation challenges and reinforce political commitment to strengthening the TB response across the EU.
