Overview

Flanders is the most populated region in Belgium. In 2019, of the country’s 11 million inhabitants, 6.58 million were living in Flanders, which covers an area of 13 500 km2. In the same year, life expectancy in the region was 80.8 years and 84.8 years for men and women, respectively.
