Strategic and Technical Advisory Group for Infectious Hazards (STAG-IH)
The STAG-IH provides independent advice and analysis to WHO Health Emergencies Programme on the infectious hazards that may pose a potential threat to global health security.
Terms of reference
The main functions of the STAG-IH are to:
- Assess the global context of infectious diseases;
- Provide analysis and advice on priority setting for WHO’s strategies and activities; • Review information about new and emerging infectious diseases and ongoing outbreaks;
- Provide analysis and advice on innovative collaborations and partnerships;
- Provide technical and scientific advice on issues related to the Pandemic Emergency Financing Facility (PEF) and the Global Preparedness Monitoring Board (GPMB).
