Objective of the programme
The Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh is implementing the Country Cooperation Strategy in collaboration with WHO Bangladesh, the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR), DGHS under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW), as well as developing and managing WHO's technical cooperation program. The purpose of recruitment of the human resources is to run the AMR surveillance activities smoothly and efficiently in sentinel sites as well as centrally at IEDCR. At sentinel sites, project facilitators will play a key role in coordinating and managing all activities and uploading data for the central repository.
Description of duties:
The incumbent will provide support through performing of the following duties (not limited to):
- Responsible for coordination of overall project activities at the sentinel site.
- Molecular testing, Analyzing, operating, and calibrating equipment
- Assist microbiologist to perform day to day laboratory activities
- To conduct field visits including outside main duty station to collect samples as needed, ensure case enrolment, specimen collection & specimen transport to assigned Microbiology laboratory at the sentinel site.
- Ensure daily data entry in software for reporting to IEDCR
- Ensure monthly transfer of case enrolment documents (advice form by surveillance physician, consent form & epi-data form for each case) to IEDCR.
- Maintain project-related supplies and equipment lists at sentinel site.
- Assist in monitoring of AMR surveillance site activities.
- Submit weekly and monthly basis activities report to IEDCR.
- Perform other duties or tasks or activities assigned by Director IEDCR
