Objective of the programme
To provide secretarial support to National EPI in strengthening routine immunization, VPDs & AEFI surveillance, new vaccine introduction and COVID-19 vaccination coordinated with partners.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
Under the guidance of the WHO Team Lead IVD and the direct supervision of National Professional Officer Immunization the incumbent will have to perform the activities to support EPI Programme as described below:
- Provide day to day secretarial support to National EPI on immunization, AEFI and VPDs surveillance, new vaccine introduction and COVID-19 vaccination.
- Support for the tracking of the implementation of routine immunization, AEFI & VPDs surveillance, new vaccine introduction and COVID 19 vaccination activities at National EPI.
- Ensure regular monitoring of the financial status related to routine immunization, surveillance, COVID-19 vaccination, new vaccine introduction and supplementary immunization activities.
- Support day to day financial operations at National EPI
- Prepare and maintain dashboard to indicate implementation status, closure of activities, reporting requirements and issues.
- Work in close collaboration with government and other relevant Implementing Partners to ensure timely and proper implementation and closure of activities as well as submission of financial reports.
- Follow-up on the submission of Statement of Expenditure/financial reports
- Support National EPI closure of POs related to routine immunization, AEFI & VPDs surveillance, new vaccine introduction, and COVID-19 vaccination activities.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned, including backstopping.
Grade: SSA-4
