The ‘DaSK Kebijakan Kesehatan Indonesia’ website has a geospatial visualization interface and is accessible to the public and policy makers. The four areas include maternal, neonatal and child health, nutrition, cardiovascular diseases, and cancers for the initial project phase, with plans for further expansion in future.
This process is part of the WHO supported capacity strengthening project on evidence-based policies to achieve Universal Health Coverage’. The project particularly aims to strengthen evidence-based policymaking at subnational level in the decentralized health system of Indonesia.
The DaSK website hosts multiple data visualizations, accessing information from BPJS Kesehatan utilization data, health development index, disease burden, and utilization of healthcare services. It also provides links to important reference papers and policy reviews of the Indonesian health system.
WHO continues to support the further development of this important information system to provide easy access to real-time and routine data and its utilization for evidence-based policy decisions. CHPM UGM organised data-to-action training sessions on DaSK data utilization for subnational governments. The DaSK website also hosts a number of sources in form of videos, podcasts, and presentations for health officials as well as the public.
