The World Health Organization (WHO) and UN Women, with 10 other UN, bilateral and multilateral agencies, published "RESPECT Women: Preventing violence against women" in 2019 to assist policy makers and implementers to design, plan, implement, monitor and evaluate interventions to prevent violence against women (VAW). It emphasizes that elimination of VAW is achievable but requires political commitment, gender equality laws, investment in women's organizations, adequate resource allocations and increased action to address discrimination.
WHO Indonesia has translated the publication into Indonesian, for increased accessibility and impact.
