Case study: Integrating health programmes to improve child health outcomes in West Java

Overview

WHO Indonesia’s subnational level support has yielded transformative results. Key innovations such as the Geber Si Jumo and Jamillah initiatives, alongside robust capacity-building efforts and partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders, have strengthened health systems, optimized resources, and promoted holistic health interventions across the province. By integrating immunization with other priority health programmes, such as stunting, WHO fostered government ownership and mobilized communities, establishing a model for health integration in Indonesia.

This activity is supported by the Australian Government.
