WHO Briefing Centre
The WHO Briefing Centre provides an educational service to students and young professionals from a variety of disciplines through interactive briefing sessions (face-to-face or virtual) on public health topics. WHO experts engage with thousands of young people each year to not only help them understand the unique role and mandate of WHO but also to interact with them in a meaningful way about important issues that affect them, as well as opportunities and challenges related to global health. We seek to include diverse disciplines, geographical regions, genders and income groups in our work.
Through this service, we want to:
- Increase young people’s knowledge about global health, health diplomacy and multilateralism.
- Empower young people to drive change and become champions of global health.
- Engage young people in our work and listen to their ideas and innovative solutions.
- Motivate young people to pursue a career in public health.
Target audience: high school and university students as well as young professionals.
