Surkhet, Karnali Province – WHO Country Office for Nepal handed over emergency response logistics and WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) supplies, with an estimated value of USD$ 150,000, to the Provincial Health Directorate (PHD) in Karnali Province. The supplies, which include rehabilitation equipment and assistive devices; major trauma backpacks;  emergency, surgery, trauma and cholera kits; autoclaves; and portable water test kits have been strategically positioned at the Provincial Humanitarian Staging Area – a centralized facility designed to assemble and organize essential supplies for prompt dispatch and provide critical support during emergencies. Funded by the Contingency Fund for Emergencies (CFE) and the South-East Asia Region Health Emergency Fund (SEARHEF), these contributions will substantially bolster the PHD's readiness and response capabilities, who will distribute the supplies based on the province's needs.
