The World Health Organization (WHO) Global Tuberculosis Programme is providing secretariat support to the TB vaccine accelerator council, which was recently established to facilitate the development, licensing and use of safe TB vaccines that are impactful in halting the TB epidemic.
The inclusion of civil society in the governance and strategic work of this collaborative platform is a core principle of the Council’s mandate. Representatives of civil society will therefore be engaged in the leadership group of the Council.
The present call for Expression of Interest will facilitate the nomination of civil society representatives with relevant expertise and experience. In the context of this call, civil society refers to TB survivors, representatives of communities affected by tuberculosis, and relevant not-for-profit patient advocacy groups or organizations.
Interested individuals should respond to this expression of interest by sending their CV to the Secretariat at TBVaccines@who.int by 18 October 2023 (11:59 PM CET). For more information on the details of the requirements, please review the terms of reference.
All applications received will go through a review process and the selected person will be notified on completion of the review process.
