WHO has been requested by its Executive Board to convene relevant global health actors in the design of a proposal on a joint process to support transformation of the global health architecture (GHA).
Reform of the global health architecture and the UN80 Initiative
This joint process aims to streamline mandates, improve coordination, align financing with country-led strategies, and bring together key global health actors. It also aims for a more inclusive, transparent and efficient approach to addressing country needs.
To guide the design of the reform process, WHO invites stakeholders to share their views, comments and suggestions on a draft “skeleton”. Your insights will help shape a proposal that reflects diverse experiences and expertise from across the global health community.
Input should be grouped under these headings:
- purpose, scope and principles
- functional areas for the proposed workstreams
- proposed approach to coordination of the process
- anticipated timeline and phases
- stakeholder engagement strategy.
All input must be received before 18 April 2026.
