WHO is seeking proposals from the institution to develop online resources for making informed health choices on traditional, complementary, and integrative medicine.
Interested institutions are asked to submit a full application by Sunday, 23 February 2025 through the website of United Nations Global Marketplace. Full application details can be found within the requests for proposals linked below.
Background
The request for proposal (RFP) is to develop an online resource to promote informed health choices on traditional, complementary, and integrative medicine (TCIM). This resource will be linked with the "WHO Your Life Your Health" resource, focusing on evaluating the safety and efficacy of TCIM practices within their cultural context. The successful bidder(s) will provide services to WHO to create accessible, understandable, and actionable learning materials for the public. These materials will empower individuals to responsibly integrate TCIM into their healthcare journeys, ultimately advancing the goal of universal health coverage and fostering a more informed and health-conscious population. The project will involve evidence synthesis on TCIM choices, developing health literacy resources, and testing and adapting these resources in different country settings. This initiative aligns with global, regional, and national efforts to promote health literacy and ensure that traditional medicine practices are safely integrated into healthcare systems.
