The Global Dementia Observatory (GDO) is WHO’s online data and knowledge exchange platform.
The GDO has two main components which complement each other: the GDO data portal (access here) and the knowledge exchange platform.
The GDO knowledge exchange platform aims to support the implementation of the global dementia action plan and enhance countries’ response to dementia by sharing key resources and good practices. All resources are mapped to the global dementia action plan; automated filters will enhance the search process. The platform is currently open for general resource submission, following this link.
All resources will undergo a peer-review process by the GDO peer-review network. Participation in the network is voluntary, and aims to support quality assurance of the platform. It includes a global group of experts by experience (people living with dementia and their care partners) and experts by profession. WHO particularly calls on people with a lived experience of dementia, or people with experience as a care partner to join the review network.

To join the peer review network please complete this registration form.
