NCD Hard Talks Webinar: No UHC without an Integrated Approach to NCDs

16 December 2020 13:00 – 14:30 CET

Noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) pose a heavy burden on global health and economic security, with severe impact on low and middle-income countries (LMICs). Achieving universal health coverage (UHC) requires urgent action towards prioritizing NCDs in the design and implementation of health policies and essential health service packages, ensuring sustainable financing mechanisms to pay for services and maximizing opportunities for service integration, so that “health for all” can become an equitable reality.

How can we change the NCD paradigm to adopt a systems approach to service delivery? What will it take to scale up and scale out NCD services? This webinar convenes health systems experts, national leaders and donors to unpack how, and how not, to organize and ensure NCD services are delivered.
