This virtual informal meeting aims to improve the involvement of non-state actors in WHO’s governing bodies, giving them the opportunity to engage with WHO technical units and Member States. The agenda for the meeting is organized along the
74th Health Assembly agenda and the 13th GPW 3 pillars to allow discussions on selected items from the Assembly agenda.
There will be 6 sessions over the 3 days. Four of the sessions will be between the Secretariat and non-State actors to allow broad discussions on technical issues on the selected items, and two sessions will be organized with Member States participation. The sessions will include a panel discussion with representatives from non-State actors, WHO Secretariat and Member States, when relevant, as well as questions and answers from the floor from non-State actor representatives to the meeting. Other non-State actors are invited to listen to the proceedings on the webcast below. The last session on 22 April will allow discussions between non-State actors and the WHO Director General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. Finally, there will a session for non-State actors only to have a space to discuss and plan, with the Secretariat facilitation, constituencies for making statements at the World Health Assembly.
