Preventing violence against children: INSPIRE webinar series - Education and life skills

20 April 2021

Webinar #8

Education and life skills

To assist governments, practitioners and implementers, civil society and faith-based organizations in their efforts to reduce violence against children, the INSPIRE core agencies and INSPIRE Working Group initiated a series of eight training webinars (December 2020 - April 2021). The aims are to:

  • Introduce INSPIRE to those who need to know and act on it,
  • Remind those who already work with INSPIRE about the need to scale it up, and
  • Give all INSPIRE stakeholders an opportunity to get detailed insights into each of the seven strategies and the cross-cutting elements.

This eighth and final webinar in the series presents the seventh INSPIRE strategy “education and life skills” in more depth. The presentations gave example of how to increase children’s access to more effective, gender-equitable education and social-emotional learning and life skills training, and ensure that school environments are safe and enabling. The critical features of these interventions and the important considerations when implementing them were discussed.
