COVID has impacted on the way people are active, access to facilities, programmes and services. The severe impact COVID and related national responses has had on the fitness industry/workforce (closures, physical distancing etc.) is also acknowledged. COVID has revealed and heightened the importance of physical activity for mental and physical health for everyone, however it has also exacerbated inequalities in health, and in physical activity opportunities.
This webinar “Ready for change: the future of sport, exercise and fitness” is the second of a series of eight reINVENT and reBUILD webinars hosted by WHO on the overarching theme of “Working together for a stronger and fairer physical activity and sport system for all”.
Join us to explore the impact of COVID-19 on physical activity, exercise and fitness and identify key trends shaping the future and how we reinvent a stronger system. We will also explore how we can communicate better the benefits of physical activity to engage more people to be more active.
