Technical consultation session: ‘Researcher’s needs and contributions to the future pandemic system’

28 October 2021 13:30 – 15:30 CET

WHO is organizing a virtual technical consultation session on the WHO BioHub System on 28 October 2021 from 13:30 to 15:30 CET.

The aim of this consultation is to help design the WHO BioHub System through an inclusive, iterative and consultative process on several key topics with various stakeholders including relevant non-state actors. Input resulting from these consultations will allow Member States to have an informed discussion of, and provide input to the WHO Secretariat on, elements pertinent to designing the WHO BioHub System.

As part of this work, the WHO is inviting relevant stakeholders- in particular laboratories, biorepositories, research entities, as well as health authorities from both the public and private sectors, to a technical consultation titled ‘Researcher’s needs and contributions to the future pandemic system’ which will focus on inputs on how to handle research results, including recognition of contributions and other research-related aspects within the WHO BioHub System.

To facilitate discussions, participants may read the following background document.
