Biosafety updates- Biological Risk Assessment Tools

In this webinar, we reviewed the WHO Laboratory Biosafety Manual 4th Edition (LBM) and in particular its sections on conducting Risk Assessment. We reviewed the steps of a risk assessment and templates that may be used to guide the process. We heard a country-experience the challenges and lessons learnt in performing biological risk assessments in Sri Lanke and finally, we saw an overview of the development of an electronic tool to guide risk assessments using targeted questions and calculated algorithms.
