Expanding our understanding of post COVID-19 condition web series: Neurology and Mental Health

Over the past year, WHO has hosted a webinar series focused on the three “Rs”- recognition, research, and rehabilitation to advance the understanding of post COVID-19 condition. 

On 1 March 2022 from 1:30 – 3:30PM CET WHO will host the next webinar focused on neurology and mental health in post COVID-19 condition.

As the understanding of post COVID-19 condition has evolved, we have learned that some of the most common symptoms experienced can affect a person’s neurological and mental health. 

This webinar will be presented in three sections. The first section will provide an overview of neurology and post COVID-19 condition. Speakers will review neurological manifestations of post COVID-19 condition, how to identify and manage “brain fog” and cognitive impairment and review options for neurological treatment and rehabilitation.

The next section will focus on mental health in post COVID-19 condition and will review conditions individuals may experience and discuss approaches to management.

The webinar will conclude by highlighting areas of research and what scientists are discovering as it pertains to neurology and mental healthcare in post COVID-19 condition.
