Since the onset of the pandemic, violence against health workers has increased markedly. Between 8% and 38% of health and care workers suffer physical violence at some point in their careers. Many more are threatened or exposed to verbal aggression. In disaster and conflict situations, health workers have become the targets of collective or political violence.
