The World Health Organization (WHO) is organizing a special virtual meeting of the Global Multisectoral Multistakeholder Platform to End TB on 17 May from 13:00H -16:00H.
The main objective of the meeting is to convene WHO’s collaborative multi-stakeholder and multisectoral platform on ending TB, to review progress, drive accountability and coordinate the TB response. WHO’s upcoming operational guidance for country adaptation and implementation of WHO’s Multisectoral Framework on TB (MAF-TB) will be reviewed and discussed. Practical country examples on multisectoral collaboration to end TB, and experiences on adaptation and implementation of MAF-TB at national and local levels will be shared. The meeting will also highlight ongoing efforts by development partners to strengthen and operationalize MAF-TB at global, regional and country levels. An interactive session at the meeting will seek inputs from participants on charting the way forward to scale up MAF-TB implementation at country level.
