Live learning webinars: Emergency Care Saves Lives, the 25 X 25 campaign

The WHO Nursing and Midwifery Global Community of Practice would like to invite you join us for a Webinar to discuss the importance of high-quality basic emergency care training.

WHO Director-General, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus will outline a call to action, to advocate for training in basic emergency care. 

Chief Nursing Officer, Dr Amelia Latu Afuhaamango Tuipulotu will talk about the new WHO Campaign and its commitment to building nursing and midwifery competence in emergency care across the world.

Members of the WHO Integrated Health Services team will outline the evidence and rationale for increased training - talking about the impact that high quality basic emergency care training can have on lives saved and quality of life after illness or injury. 

You will hear from a panel of experts in the field, discussing their own experiences of emergency care teaching and education.

The session will be moderated by Professor Petra Brysiewicz, expert in the field of emergency care nursing at the School of Nursing & Public Health, University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa and an honorary professor in the Division of Emergency Medicine at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. 

There will be an opportunity to put your questions to the panel during a moderated Q&A session during the webinar.
