Around the world, acutely ill and injured people seek care every day for medical, surgical and obstetric emergencies, including injuries resulting from road traffic crashes. Post-crash emergency care is an integral component of the actions promoted as part of the Global Plan for the Decade of Action for Road Safety 2021-2030. A new WHO guide "Advocating for emergency care: a guide for nongovernmental organizations" helps NGOs to strengthen their knowledge and skills as advocates for emergency care.
