Health Education England, together with Working for Health, has convened a stakeholder meeting to understand the size and profile of the health and care workforce that contributes to the delivery of the essential public health functions, including emergency preparedness ad response.
This mapping and measurement of occupations will help the country to benchmark itself, identify gaps in workforce capacity, and inform the development/update of national human resources for health strategies or plans as well as national action plans for health security.
