13 March 2024 11:00 – 12:30 CET

In this webinar we discussed different models for specimen referral and transportation, looking at key considerations for their development and optimization, including importance of diagnostic network optimization, challenges and proposed solutions. We heard from the experience from Burkina Faso on setting up an integrated national specimen transportation system, spanning aspects such as its structure, coordination mechanisms that are in place, monitoring and evaluation, among others.

We welcomed:

Dr Heidi Albert (FIND, the global alliance for diagnostics)

Mr Porgho Souleymane (Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene, Burkina Faso)

Dr Sandrine Gampini (WHO Country Office Burkina Faso)
