Togo has become a global leader in reaching key NTD milestones, as evidenced by the elimination of Guinea worm in 2011, the elimination of lymphatic filariasis in 2017, the elimination of sleeping sickness in 2020, and the elimination of trachoma in 2022. The country is also gradually approaching elimination of onchocerciasis.
