- Climate resilient and environmentally sustainable health care facilities
Description
This webinar will provide an overview of how to address and manage a range of climate change risks and environmental impacts affecting healthcare facilities, with the goals of: a) enhancing climate resilience to withstand climate shocks and stresses, and b) implementing environmentally sustainable interventions to improve safety, quality of care, and environmental protection. Interventions aimed at strengthening the climate resilience of healthcare facilities and promoting environmental sustainability focus on four key requirements for delivering safe and quality care in the context of climate change: 1) Health workforce; 2) Water, sanitation, hygiene, and healthcare waste management; 3) Sustainable and clean energy services; and 4) Infrastructure, technologies, products, and processes.
