Burundi has successfully scaled up mass drug administration (MDA) against onchocerciasis, achieving therapeutic coverage of more than 80% since 2010. In 2021, an independent expert committee for the elimination of onchocerciasis has been created.
Join the webinar on 3 September and learn about ongoing elimination efforts while facing logistical challenges, how onchocerciasis is integrated into other health campaigns, and how the country is preparing for the results of previous evaluations (onchocerciasis elimination mapping) and the pre-Stop MDA survey.
