Dengue Diagnostics and Laboratory Testing in the context of the ongoing global emergency.

11 September 2024 11:00 – 12:30 CET

In this webinar we addressed the current global dengue emergency, which the WHO has designated as a Grade 3 emergency, necessitating a major to maximal response. This session provided updates on the global dengue situation and WHO's efforts to enhance access to diagnostics and laboratory testing during this critical time.

We featured insights from Brazil on their approach to dengue testing during their national outbreak and heard from experts in India on dengue circulation and the support provided across the South-East Asia region.

We welcomed:

Dr Philomena Raftery (WHO Headquarters)

Dr Gajanan N Sapkal (National Institute of Virology Pune, India)

Dr Felipe Naveca (Fiocruz, Brazil)
