Fourth collaboration meeting of Lusophone countries to eliminate HIV, hepatitis, STIs and TB

Following three previous collaboration meetings of Lusophone countries held in Cabo Verde (2014), Mozambique (2016) and Brazil (2024), WHO invites all country focal points and civil society representatives to participate in the next meeting on 6 November 2024. This virtual meeting offers an opportunity to all Lusophone countries to advance on the collaboration activities to eliminate HIV, hepatitis, sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and tuberculosis (TB) as public health problems by 2030.

Objectives  

Part 1 

  • sharing the Brasília meeting report
  • present collaboration plans between the Portuguese-speaking countries; and 
  • advance on the collaboration activities: information repository and webinar series. 

Part 2 

  • advance in the implementation of processes to validate the elimination of mother-to-child transmission of HIV, syphilis and hepatitis B.
